Bronze DofE Expedition
The expedition on Friday morning with pupils preparing their packed lunches, the group set off by school minibus to Kew Gardens. There, they explored the stunning landscapes, admired a variety of plants from across the world, and enjoyed a picnic together.
The group returned to school in the afternoon, the pupils took on the challenge of setting up their own tents in the school’s PE hall, transforming the space into an indoor campsite. Dinner was prepared on barbecues in the playground, and the evening continued with music, films, games, and time around an open fire—providing the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
The expedition continued on Saturday morning with breakfast, tent pack-down, and a visit to Brockwell Park. There, the group took part in outdoor activities, rounding off the experience with fresh air and team-building exercises.
The supporting staff were full of praise for the pupils' enthusiasm and resilience. The Bronze DofE expedition gave them the opportunity to try new things, take responsibility, and work together—all important steps in their personal development.
